Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective date: June 26, 2026

Thank you for visiting visionspy.net (the "Site"), operated by Vision Spy. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights Guarantee (LOPDGDD), and Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI).

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Vision Spy, operator of visionspy.net. For any privacy-related inquiry, you may contact us at [email protected].

By using the Site or our services in any manner, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Your use is also subject to our Terms of Service and Security Policy, which incorporate this document by reference.

2. About Vision Spy

Vision Spy is an AI-powered visual intelligence platform that estimates geographic locations from images. Users may upload photographs for analysis; our models evaluate visual features such as architecture, terrain, and environmental cues to generate location predictions, confidence scores, and contextual metadata.

Vision Spy is designed for professional use by analysts, investigators, enterprise security teams, and authorized organizations conducting lawful intelligence or investigative workflows.

3. Access and registration

Access to Vision Spy is provided on an enterprise basis. Organizations may request access by submitting contact details through our platform. Upon approval, authorized users are provisioned under a tenant associated with their organization.

We process identification and contact data (such as name, corporate email, organization, and role) to manage access requests, contractual relationships, and account administration.

4. Data we collect

When you use Vision Spy, we may collect the following categories of data:

  • Identification and contact data: name, email address, organization, job title, and billing information where applicable.
  • Account and usage data: login credentials (stored in hashed form), session logs, IP address, device type, browser, and activity within the platform.
  • Image data: photographs and files you upload for analysis, along with technical metadata embedded in those files (such as capture date, device model, or file format). Metadata is returned to you for informational purposes but is not used as the primary basis for geolocation predictions.
  • Communications: messages you send us via contact forms, email, or support channels.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our cookie notice and applicable consent mechanisms under the LSSI.

5. Purposes and legal basis

We process personal data only when a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR applies:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide Vision Spy, manage your account, process subscriptions, and deliver analysis results.
  • Legitimate interest: to improve platform security, prevent fraud, maintain audit logs, and develop service quality, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and meet record-keeping duties.
  • Consent: where required for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, or other processing for which consent is the appropriate basis. You may withdraw consent at any time.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain uploaded images and associated metadata according to the purpose of the analysis and your organization's settings. Quick searches are typically retained for 7 days unless linked to a project or case file. Data associated with active projects is retained until you delete the image, project, or case, followed by a 30-day period before permanent deletion from backup systems.

Account and billing data are retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter for the periods required by tax, accounting, and legal obligations under Spanish law.

You may request deletion of your personal data subject to our legal retention obligations. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within one month as required by the GDPR.

7. Your responsibilities

As a user of Vision Spy, you are responsible for ensuring that images and content you upload comply with applicable law and do not infringe third-party rights, including privacy, image rights, and intellectual property.

You must have a valid legal basis to process any personal data contained in images you submit, including compliance with the GDPR and LOPDGDD when images depict identifiable individuals or private locations.

8. Recipients and international transfers

We may share personal data with service providers who assist us in hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, and customer support. These providers act as data processors under written agreements consistent with Article 28 GDPR.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect the rights and safety of Vision Spy, our users, or third parties.

If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions.

9. Security measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR and LOPDGDD, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and receive portability of your personal data where applicable.

You may also withdraw consent at any time when processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise your rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months where necessary.

If you believe your rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

11. Minors

Vision Spy is not directed at minors and is intended for professional and organizational use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 14 years of age without appropriate parental or guardian consent as required by Spanish law.

If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact [email protected] and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email where appropriate. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
